Days 1-14

Since I am recapping to get caught up- here's a quick synopsis of days we have already done:
Day 1- Not hungry, but sure did burn a lot of extra calories chopping all the veggies. Seems the whole day was taken up with food prep, exercise, recovery after exercise, and finding the perfect protein bars.
Day 2- PLYOMETRICS- Not for the faint of heart. About 50 minutes of jumping sprinting, heart-rate maximizing exercises. But, Nate and I agreed- it was kind of fun!
Day 3- CRASH! No carbs caught up with Meredith today. Could not think or complete sentences! Does this mean I can start using those fat reserves, please? In P90X Meal Guide it mentions something called "bonking" that means you are tapped out, fuzzy-headed and weak. (I was). It said to add a serving of complex carbs to give the body what it needs (I did). And guess what? It helped! Crisis averted.
Days 4-8- Discovered we ate, between the two of us, SIXTY-FOUR EGGS in the first week! Whoa, that's 32 eggs a piece. Sounds like a lot, huh/ Meanwhile, we simply continued the working out, followed the Menu Plan to the letter until Day 8 and that's when I felt free to improvise a little. Had spoken with someone from my church who is about 1 month ahead of us and she said she has learned to improvise and do it without the Menu Plan....and they are still losing weight!
Day 9 - OOPs! It's those pesky Plyometrics again! And after the workout, I was weak until eating 2 protein bars and yes, later on that day....I cheated!! Cake from Kirby and Alexis' wedding and a cup of coffee. HEAVENLY and "a little dab" did me. I really don't feel bad about it, it was DELICIOUS!
